The Produce Peddler is owned and operated by first-generation farmers, Zay & Leah López. We live and work on 26 beautiful acres at the west end of the Grand Valley tending to numerous varieties of vegetables & melons, and raising chickens & sheep for eggs and meat.
While not USDA certified, many organic principles are utilized throughout the farm. We believe vibrant and prolific plants begin with healthy soil. Great energy is put to composting and cultivation techniques specific to improving soil health. No synthetic pesticides are used on our crops. And we never spray when fruit is on the plant. We do not use any genetically-modified seed varieties (there are very few GMO options in produce that we would encounter).
Our mission is to connect people to their food source, and grow excellent produce for our community in a safe and responsible way. We respect the land and continue to educate ourselves with the latest advancements in sustainable agriculture. We thrive on building relationships and consider good conversation & good food a necessity of life.
